Amor Por Vida

El Rio Grande is the division between young,
new Sevilla and was is considered the old part.

Although that point can be argued, as where I live,
on the "new" side, there is the Bull Fighting Ring
and a fury of old churches.

Along the Bridge "Triana", there are lockets.
Hundreds of lockets.

The lockets symobolize eternal love.

As I walked along the bridge yesterday, thumbing through the locks, a local stopped to tell me
how years ago he came to the bridge with his girlfriend. He said that after a month long romance,
They came to the bridge to put a lock on one of the iron twists.

They married that fall and had 5 great years together. So many people had been placing locks on
the bridge that it started to become dangerous. The weight was causing the bridge to lose stability.

He told me that the locks were cut off during a renovation period. Within a month, his wife had an
affair and left him.

Over the years, more and more people (locals, tourists) have come and placed locks on the bridge,
throwing the key into the water below them. He says he always likes to tell people to be certain
of love when coming to the bridge.
